Director Youth Ministry

Job Summary: To direct and lead the youth programming for youth grades 6 through 12. The position shall seek to foster Christian relationships, commitment to the church and growth in faith in Jesus Christ. The Youth Ministries program is an investment in our youth and is essential to PFMC

Compensation: 20 hrs/wk

Time Required: 20 hours a week. PFMC is committed to a minimum of 2 yrs to this position.

Job Skills: Applies strong interpersonal skills and is comfortable relating to many different ages and types of youth. Must possess good time management skills and organizational abilities. The ability to coordinate several activities at once and to quickly analyze and resolve specific problems is important. Growing, empowering and mentoring teams and leaders are skills that will be specifically valued. The ideal person should be creative and flexible, have a passion for youth, be hard working, and have the ability to motivate others.

Reports to: English Pastor. We have both English and Japanese language congregations.

Supervises: Youth steering group/workers by, at a minimum, holding regularly scheduled meetings.
