About Us

The Pacific Coast Japanese Conference was founded upon the sacrificial lives of Laura Bodenhamer, Maud Thornton, Bertha Ahlmeyer, and Lilian Poole, four women who reached out in faith to the first Japanese who had settled in the United States in the early 1900’s.

Our conference became a full conference of the Free Methodist Church of North America in 1962.

Today, the PCJC has 22 churches and three preaching points throughout California and a church in Arizona.

Under Superintendent Gary Gaulton, the vision of the PCJC is to identify and develop emerging leaders, network churches and plant ministries.

We are located on the campus of Mission Valley Free Methodist in San Gabriel, CA.
